Taj Mahal, Agra: This white marble mausoleum is perhaps India's most well-known landmark and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal, it's a stunning monument to love and a work of art of Mughal architecture. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Agra Fort, Agra: Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Agra Fort is a red sandstone fortress that was the principal residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. It contains many palaces, mosques, and halls of audience, displaying beautiful Mughal architectural designs.

Fatehpur Sikri: This abandoned ancient city, situated in the vicinity of Agra, was constructed during the 16th century by Emperor Akbar and served for a brief time as the Mughal capital. It's famous for its exquisitely preserved Mughal design, such as the towering Buland Darwaza, the Jama Masjid, and Panch Mahal. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Bara Imambara, Lucknow: This magnificent piece of architecture in Lucknow was constructed by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784. It's renowned for its central hall, believed to be the biggest unsupported hall in the world, and its stunning labyrinth called "Bhool Bhulaiya."

Varanasi Ghats & Kashi Vishwanath Temple: The spiritual center of Varanasi is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. The city is full of the many ghats (steps down to the Ganges River) where pilgrims come to perform ceremonies and rituals. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a temple of Lord Shiva, is one of Hinduism's most revered temples and a prominent landmark along the Ganges' banks.
