Tawang: This mountain town is perhaps the most popular tourist spot in Arunachal Pradesh. It's the location of the Tawang Monastery, which is India's largest monastery and the world's second largest. Other places to visit are the Sela Pass, Madhuri Lake (Sangetser Lake), and Tawang War Memorial. It has a fine combination of nature and culture.


Ziro Valley: A UNESCO World Heritage Site candidate, Ziro Valley is famous for its emerald green paddy fields, pine-clad hills, and the distinctive Apatani tribe culture. It's nature lovers' heaven and is home to the iconic Ziro Music Festival.
